Summer Theater Camp to start

The theater camp is about to start. Students are still welcome to join up until the day camp begins. See poster and synopsis of plot below.

The Influencer is a musical that tells the story of 17-year old twins, Will and Rosie, and their younger sister Charlie. Will and Rosie are both internet sensations. Each one has millions of followers on their respective social media platforms: Rosie is a singer and beauty vlogger on YouTube, TikTok and Instagram. Will posts videos on Youtube and TikTok featuring stunts, dares, comedy and video gaming tips. (He is a Minecraft wiz). Unlike her siblings, Charlie is an introvert. She has a strong faith and interior prayer life. She is not interested in being on social media or becoming famous.

Set in the “TikTok House”, Will and Rosie are in the top 10 finalists vying for first prize and the title of TikTok Influencer of the World! Millions of followers and dollars are at stake. Now serious rivals, the once close twins are now constantly fighting and strategizing how to beat, not only each other, but the rest of the competition to win the competition. Will and Rosie have become increasingly seduced by fame, money and worldliness. A spiritual battle is waged. The questions, where is one's true worth and purpose found? The virtual world versus the real world? Popular culture, "cancel culture" and obsession. How to tell the difference between real and fake relationships? What, if anything does it mean to have millions of followers? Who is The Influencer? Worship that is healthy, worship that is deadly - all of which gets played out on everyone's phones.
