The Month of May
The month of May is approaching and we have some exciting things taking place this month to honor Mary, the patroness of our church.
May Crowning and First Communions
First of all we will be having May crowning and First Communion on the same Sunday: May 1, 2022 at the 9:00 am Mass. It will be a beautiful day and we have 6 first communicants.
We will have First Communions for our hispanic people at 12 noon on May 14 for 13 students.
Marian Consecration
St. Mary Church will be celebrating a Marian Consecration at the close of Mary's month on Sunday, May 29th during 9am Mass. In preparation for Consecration Day, I recommend that you read Fr. Michael E Gaitley’s book, 33 Days to Morning Glory: A Do-It-Yourself Retreat In Preparation for Marian Consecration. The readings will start on Wednesday, April 27th. We will have some books available in the office for you to purchase, please use the sign-ups in the back of church. You can also purchase your book on Amazon: here.
There will also be a novena to our Blessed Mother nine days before the consecration, just like we did for St. Joseph.
Confirmation
On top of all that we also have Confirmation for the students of our parish at Lancaster on May 15. Please keep them in your prayers.
It will be a beautiful month dedicated to our Blessed Mother with extra rosaries, Marian hymns and other devotions to her.
God bless!
Fr. John Blewett
